Public Participation

The project team values the input and involvement of area residents, businesses and travelers. Together, we identified the critical issues and priorities and defined the criteria by which the solutions were measured.

A significant portion of the problem-solving process related to the visual look of the corridor. The Austin Bluffs Corridor Project team invited participation in developing an aesthetically pleasing roadway.

Key Decision Points Involved Public Participation

We identified the key decision points as follows:

  • The project team shared updated findings and sought input regarding the project.
  • The project team developed alternatives based on information gathered up to that date, including comments from the first open house. We then shared the analysis and gathered further input.
  • Taking that input into consideration, a preferred alternative was selected and presented to the public.
  • The preferred alternative was finalized after the last open house.
